Tour the Star-Telegram Printing and Distribution Center on Friday, Feb. 5 at 1:30 P.M. **Free!!   
The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and please **no one under 6 is permitted on the tour. During the tour you’ll experience:

–Museum that traces the history of the Star-Telegram from the early 1900’s and the days of ‘hot’ type and mule drawn wagons to the present computer age with the world wide web!

–Newsprint storeroom that holds 6,000 rolls of newsprint that weigh one ton each.

–Nine robots that move rolls of newsprint from place to place.  Each roll holds 8 miles of paper.

–Pressroom and offset printing presses print 1,000 newspapers a minute.

–Bigger than a football field, a 54 thousand square feet Packaging Warehouse.

Rusty the Steer, our 1,650 pound mascot with six-foot horn span and his barnyard friends.
