Having a Staycation for Spring Break? Here’s an Idea just for you!
Every year Sid Richardson Scout Ranch (on Lake Bridgeport) has opportunities for families the weekends before and after Spring Break. This year is no exception!
You can camp on Saturday night or, if you want more time in the wilderness, go early and camp Friday AND Saturday night… attend Chapel on Sunday and then pack up and head out — at either or BOTH of the events. You can attend this as a family, den or together with our Pack.
Please note that while the “official early bird registration deadlines” are listed here, if you want to ensure you’re camping WITH the Pack, ALL REGISTRATION FORMS need to be received by April Driggers at her home, no later than Saturday, March 6. This way, anyone from our Pack attending either event will have the opportunity to camp together. Checks need to be made payable to the Pack. I will obtain one check from our Treasurer and make payment with it. I set this date early enough to ensure that anyone registering for either event WILL obtain the early bird discounts.
Here is the information on both camping opportunities:
Cub Scout Family Adventures Camp
- Dates: March 13-14 (early registration ends 3/10 at 5pm)
- Early Bird Registration Fees: $27 (age 6 and up), $20 (age 2-5)
- Fees include: Camp T-shirt and patch, Saturday lunch, supper and snacks, a light breakfast Sunday, craft supplies and admission fees and exciting family fun!

Spring Rocket Academy
- Dates: March 20-21 (early registration ends 3/17 at 5pm)
- Early Bird Registration Fees: $27 (age 6 and up), $20 (age 2-5)
