Overview #
This document will help caring adults become an Adult Leader, Den Leader, and other leader role in our pack. These positions are very important as they allow us to help engage in scouting activities while also meeting the requirements of BSA. The most important part of this process is safety of our youth, so your participation in this process is greatly appreciated. It is important to remember that Youth Protection Training (YPT) is required for a number of activities our scouts will engage in throughout the year.
Please note you will use your existing BSA account to complete this process. This is the account you created when registering your account.
Adult Leader Requirements #
- Submit the Adult Application
- Complete a Background Check
- Complete Youth Protection Training (YPT)
After your application, background check, and YP training are complete, your application must be approved by or Counsel Organizational Representative. After approval it will take about 24-hours before we can assign you to a specific cub scout role and see your status in Scoutbook.
Adult Application #
The Adult Application can be completed online using the same process as registering your new scout. In this instance, you will choose to Adult Volunteers as shown in the following image:
Background Check #
The background check can be completed as part of the application submission process. Please be sure to complete this process as well.
Youth Protection Training (YPT) #
Youth Protection Training will take approximately 30-minutes to complete. Click the button below for additional details.
